Pod

Dri­ving home from the lake last Tues­day morn­ing I caught some­thing out the cor­ner of my eye. About forty or fifty yard off shore out in Lake Mille Lacs there looked like a long row of ducks.

Nope. Pel­i­cans!
Thirty or forty of them.

I never seen a pel­i­can north of the Florida Keys; but they do live up here. They travel in what’s called a pod.

I’m glad I was present enough to notice.
